(If you don't want to read, just skip the video to 2:57 to watch someone I know sing what the judges said should have put him on the show)

So a kid I graduated high school with was on the Voice last night. He didn't get selected, which is a darn shame.

Now...I may be biased because I've heard his music since high school but seriously, he's good. And he's funny. It's great that he got this opportunity.

I want the best for him in his endeavors so here's a plug for him. I expect great things from him going forward, especially now that he got some exposure.

!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! In regards to what Usher said, that is who he is as an artist. That take on the song was sick.

(thanks for telling me how to post videos...I'm an idiot haha)

I watched this last night. He was fantastic and I was surprised he didn't get a chair turn. Based on the feedback from the coaches, though, he'd be crazy not to audition again next season. I can't remember if it was Adam or Blake who was right on the edge of pushing the button, but they all were regretful that no one turned around. It was really close, and it seems like it was only nerves and an iffy song choice that kept him from going through. Based on his voice, I think he'd absolutely kill it with a Stevie Wonder song, or something along the lines of Hall & Oates or Justin Timberlake.

I don't watch the show, just the part with him cuz...well...yeah. But it was Blake that almost did it. Immediate regret was in his voice.

The song choice was different but that's what Brendan does. He takes something, always has, and puts his own spin on it. I'm sure he'll do something great next time around...and they'll remember him.
